Ryan update

Time for a little Ryan update!

Ryan has been on alert for the Japan humanitarian efforts for over a week, and was just released yesterday.. Now he will more than likely remain in Washington until he deploys back out to Kyrgyzstan in May. I can't pretend that this doesn't put a little smile on my face... I would have been stressing more than usual if he was sent to Japan or Spain for the Libya issue. Now he is just mostly bored. Poor baby. I miss him so much :/ It sucks when you only see your best friend for about ONE month total out of the year.

Hmm.. either way.. he is doing great and claims to miss me too ;]

Day 10 – What is your favorite way to pamper yourself?

Hmm.. I'm truly not much of a girly girl.. I only really ever get mani/pedis unless I KNOW I am going to see Ryan.. haha :] Also, I always buy myself clothes and such after finals to award myself for my good grades >.< 

Day 11 – The greatest vacation or trip you've ever had.

SAN FRANCISCO!!!!! :D UGH. I love it there. The weather, the architecture, the atmosphere.

EVERYTHING I absolutely loved it. I want to take a road trip there with Ryan some time in life :] I can only imagine how amazing that would be

Day 12 – A photograph of the town you grew up in. What did you love/hate about it?

Rancho Cucamonga :] 

I'll admit... where I live is sort of awesome.

We have the beach and the mountains right outside of our windows.

My house is really close to the mountains, so the view in the mornings is amazing :]

What don't I like?

I am going to have to say the majority of people who live here haha

Let's just say... that a certain type of mind frame is abundant here..

One that I don't always enjoy...

Day 8 – The best advice you've ever received.

You can't properly love someone until you learn to love yourself! By far the BEST advice ever given to me.. and as cliche as it seems... It is so true and so important :D When this was first said to me, I didn't quite understand it... but after a few years of going out and flirting with affection and love..... I now know... I am so much happier now with my life... with myself... Never before did I realize how necessary it was to learn how to put yourself first for the the sole benefit of YOURSELF... My previous lack of ability to do so is what I believe led me into the terrible relationships in my past...

Now... I have a great life.. a great man, who I love with all of my heart.. and I love ME :]

Day 9 – A photo of your last significant purchase. Did it satisfy a need or a want?

No, I didn't buy a plane.. haha

But the last thing I purchased that had TRUE meaning to me, was

the ticket for the first time I went to go visit Ryan on base :]

Not only did it mean so much to me because I got to visit my love,

but also it signified a new beginning for me at home

in terms of how my parents viewed me and my relationship :]

Dream Wedding

Day 7 – Tell us about your wedding or dream wedding.

WHOA MAN... Weddings... Marriage.. WHOA.... I suppose I think about it from time to time.... What it would be like.. who I would want as the "husband" figure in my life ;] ...

But to be honest.. my man and I are so young... I am not feeling a need to change our status just yet. I think we will know when we are ready when the time comes... as for now though.. I'm ok with being a girlfriend... Doesn't change the level of love and devotion one bit.

That being said...

I want a simple wedding ;] aha

I don't need anything huge and extravagant.

I would like it to be towards the evening...

I would only want close love ones there... People who love and support my marriage decision :]

I want a strapless dress! :D simple... sort of like my prom dress.. but white >.<

As for everything else.. I haven't really thought of the details..

besides.. I would want my future groom to have some input as well :]

I don't know.. I'm not too much of a girly girl when it comes to this I suppose.

I just want the right man standing next to me :]

Day 5 – Something you definitely could live without.

The effects that carbs have on my body haha.
I wish I could eat like some of the guys I know and not gain one pound.

I gain weight just WATCHING some of those cows eat ;]

Well... I had two best friends when I was 16.
Miss Jaclyn Rose and Mr Ryan John :]
And they are still my best friends today.
They both know me..the real me.. inside and out
... the good and the bad...
and they still love me for everything that I am.
Flaws and all :]

You two have helped shape who I am today :]
You both do all kinds of right ;]

30 Day Spring Challenge :]

Yes, I am taking part in this :] 

I think it will be a great way to get me back into the blogging scene.

Finals are done, and my love is gone again :/ 

Amazingly though... it never gets any easier.. saying goodbye to him.

I have gotten stronger though.

I have learned to focus on the positive.

When I am with him, that is all that matters. 

That he is there with me.

At that very second.

At that very moment.

I have mastered the art of holding on to his touch.

Memorized every facial expression.

And I can replay the sound of his voice over and over in my head.

I no longer dread the day that he has to leave again, because

I know that is inevitable.

Instead I focus on the day when we no longer have to say goodbye for 5 months at a time.

I graduate at the end of the year, and Ryan is currently in the running for the ability to 

rank up to senior airman early :] (I'M SO PROUD OF HIM! :D)

........... 2012 is the year :]

I am now more convinced than ever..

Ryan is currently on alert for the Japan humanitarian effort, so we will see how all of that pans out. I know if he goes out there that I will barely speak to him.... I don't want to be selfish, because I know the need over there is quite excessive...

I just wish he was safe in Washington.. 

He said that he could possibly be over there for about a  month, and then

he would return for his deployment back to K land scheduled for the first week of May.

Dear Air Force.. you are shaving years off of my life I hope you know ;]

March 4th through 15th

It came and it went... It always goes by so fast, but I do everything I can to hold on to it...
I'll see him in July.. which truthfully isn't THAT long.... but it is TOO long to be away from 
the man that I love...

He is set to deploy again back to Manas on May 3rd, but he is trying to 

leave in April.

This means that the new countdown is set for July 18thish :]

MIA?

Hi Michel!
Haha So this morning miss Michel yelled at me via comment to get back to blogging, so I thought I'd give a quick little update :]


I SEE RYAN IN SEVEN DAYS!!!!


Hopefully that is.... Something broke or whatever, and he is most likely going to be delayed a couple of days. He CLAIMS that he will be back Friday morning the 4th (I land in Spokane at 8:30 pm). He did say that there is a chance that he won't be back until that Saturday though.. (:/ I really really hope that is not the case) and that if it does pan out like that then I can stay with his pilot's wife or get a hotel.... Not quite sure what I will do about that yet...


Either way, I can't wait to kiss his face and hold his hand and.... :X hahaha
I have just missed that man so much :] 




Now.. I haven't been posting because I have been so damn busy! School and work and coaching take up all of my time, and I AM ALWAYS SO DAMN TIRED.


That will change after finals are over though I assure you :]

Common Things....

So.. today Ryan told me that he is on the list to be sent out again in April..
Which means he will be home for a month
Which means he will be sort of bummed
Which means he will miss my birthday again


It was sweet because he genuinely seemed sad about missing my birthday <3
I love that guy.

Damn though... it really sucks.
I knew he wanted to get sent out as much as possible this year,
and that we have it better than others who endure 360 day deployments and so on.


And I know that I should be used to not having him with me on days like that..
Hmm... He is trying to be home for his cousin's wedding and his mom's birthday though.
I hope that happens for him and his family's sake. 


Valentine's day is approaching, and I don't mean to be bitter but I would really love to be able
to fast forward on through that. haha
This year, all of my favorite people have plans with their loved ones.
Not that I'm all that romantic, but it would still just be nice to watch a movie with him on the couch and
grab some dinner. 


Instead... I will be doing homework and probably order a pizza for one haha
Normally, I don't mind being alone.. but Monday? 
I'm going to go ahead and file Monday under "suck."


Thinking about the future helps though :]
Providing things are still going smoothly, in a year I may be on my way to no longer being a California resident :]

22 MORE DAYS TILL WASHINGTON :D!!!!!

haha Yes, I have finally allowed myself to begin the countdown.
I should be getting my tax return some time next week as well (which is a very lovely sum!), so that means I can spoil him a little when I am up there.
(I love spoiling him >.< ....... I'm going to spoil MY wardrobe a little too haha ;D)


I've also decided that the entire time I am with him, I am going to take 4735746765247656234134135 pictures of him and I. haha
I realized that I don't have much because I always forgot to bring my camera!
BUT NOT THIS TIME.

Guilty.

Alright.. I've been doing really well with my diet... that is.. until last week haha
This past week I went out and ate what I want and did what I wanted.
AND I HAD A BLAST!
(EXCEPT.... for my Steelers' loss :( DAMN YOU ROETHLISBERGER!!!!!!! </3 Because of him I owe my friend dinner. FAIL) 
Sooo... ultimately I don't regret it...
But time to get my butt back in gear (: 
A lot of people have been saying that I look thinner.. but people lie haha

As for Ryan... A little over 3 weeks left until I can fall asleep and wake up
to my air man(: I can't wait! I almost don't want to look at the calendar! 
He keeps talking about things that he wants to do when I get up there, which makes me 
so happy because I know he misses me and is as anxious as I am. 


Lately he has been talking about moving in together a lot as well, so I have been on cloud nine with that >.< 


Other than that, school is going really well and I guess work is alright too.
My car did have a meltdown today though -______-
My dad said it should be fine, but that the part will take 2-5 days to be delivered..
Which leaves me to drive around a giant Saturn Outlook in the mean time.

I honestly cannot wait! Yesterday morning he asked me if I would mind if Caleb (Kelsey's boyfriend!) lived with us when I moved in at the end of the year (or early next year)!
I love when he talks about the future(:

1. Why did you create this blog?

Oh this blog and it's reason for existing haha. I started this blog right before Ryan headed off to his first deployment, and I must say that has been very therapeutic. Kelsey and Michel (fellow Air Force significant others) convinced me to go ahead and make one after they told me about the great support they receive from other lovely ladies in similar situations, and they definitely were not lying(:

2. What kinds of blogs do you follow?

Mostly I follow other military affiliated ladies. I love reading about their stories, and offering up whatever support or advice I can think of. I also love photography and quotes, so I follow a few blogs that focus on that.

3. Favorite make-up brand?

Umm. I am actually really simple with my make up. Nothing too expensive. 

I usually just buy all of my make up from Target. 

4. Favorite clothing brand?

Forever21 & Urban Outfitters<3

5. Indispensable makeup product?

Liquid eyeliner!

Eyeliner makes my entire face! haha

When I take it off at night, it weirds me out O_o

6. Favorite color?

I don't really have one. My room is a midnight blue though, and I love that.
